Glad you could make it over. Unfortunately it is now an hour past beer o’clock here, and I will tell you that I have had one already and am thinking about another. Thinking. So given that it is best not to post while drunk, this will be short. Also, I have spent the entire afternoon project managing babymaking 2011, plus almost two hours on setting up all the blog passwords, so I am out of steam.
I guess you will have to wait for the next post to hear what progress we are making on the donor egg front. I can tell you we have scheduled our counselling appointments for 31st January. That B needs to do the pysch testing and see a lawyer, and we haven’t booked those appointments yet. Once all that is done, the reports and certificates in to the clinic, we can then go ahead and put the surrogacy application in to the RTC. They meet on the 18th Jan, a date which we have no hope of making. Then again on Feb 8th (remote chance) and again 15th March (more realistic and what we are hoping for). Then the three month wait will start. Then B goes to the UK in July, and perhaps if we can get B and M’s cycles in synch we can try an egg collection from B and transfer to M in August.
Meanwhile, M and her family are coming down for a visit next weekend, and if B is not in the middle of moving house then she will join us. I can’t tell you how excited I am!
I can’t quite believe we are getting another chance at this, and so soon. I am so incredibly grateful to B, and told her so (though words can never express the deep emotions I have about this generosity). She told me: In this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love.
It made me cry.
